Quick to cook, this marinated grilled asparagus recipe is one you’ll use over and over. The asparagus marinade adds interest to the dish. This one really sparkles!
The first step of this recipe is making the marinade. Mix together the ingredients and allow the flavors to blend for at least one hour before adding the trimmed asparagus spears.
Dilled Asparagus Recipe
1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
Kosher salt
Fresh milled black pepper
Combine the vinegar, oil, dill, garlic, and a pinch each of salt and pepper. Let the asparagus marinade rest for an hour, then ad the asparagus. A great container to marinate in is a gallon freezer bag. Give the marinating asparagus a mixup a few times as it soaks. Marinate at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours.
Grill the asparagus over medium high heat until just tender, or to your own personal preference. A little bit of browning on the asparagus spears adds a nice, nutty flavor.
